At The Art League School, I developed and delivered innovative, student-focused ceramics curricula for nearly 2,000 students annually, spanning beginners to advanced learners. By balancing technical demonstrations with hands-on creative labs, I increased student project completion and engagement, cultivating safe, respectful classrooms where students were empowered to experiment, take risks, and grow in both technical skill and artistic expression.
At the University of the District of Columbia, I taught ceramics and studio art courses that combined foundational techniques with advanced creative exploration. I mentored students in portfolio development, preparing them for college and professional pathways, while my classroom strategies improved engagement and retention, creating structured yet dynamic learning environments.
As a Resident Artist at the Torpedo Factory Art Center, I exhibited ceramic and mixed media works to an audience of ~500,000 visitors annually. I mentored emerging artists, led workshops, and coordinated exhibitions, enriching the local cultural landscape. Additionally, I facilitated portfolio development, critiques, and collaborative projects that strengthened community connections and enhanced student visibility.
